Dior Skin Star Foundation Review
Heyyy!
I'm so sorry for the lack of posts recently, but I've completed my exams and i'm back on blogging again, wohooooo! So except more blog posts!:)
I've been wanting to do a post on this foundation for a very loooong time but i wanted to try it out fully before recommending it so I hope you find this useful >o<

"Inspired by the professional illuminating techniques and expertise of its makeup artists, Dior invents Diorskin Star, its 1st brightening foundation: a weightless fluid capable of recreating the spectacular and perfecting light of Dior's studios. The complexion is instantly more luminous and visibly evener. A new generation of hollow silica beads captures and diffuses light in a correcting halo with no shine. At the same time, colour-filter pigments neutralise colour imbalances to recreate the perfect light. The complexion is clarified with a purer, more dazzling and long-lasting light. Anti-"light-trap" skincare ingredients help reduce the appearance of dark areas, pigment spots and redness."
I've been using the Dior Star foundation for over 4 months and now coming to an empty bottle. I've been using it pretty much on a daily basis. I'm so impressed with how long it last me considering the narrow bottle size. I'm aware that they recommend using the Backstage beauty blender which I did end up purchasing. However, personally i didn't quite like how the foundation sits on my face when using this applicator (so I passed it on to my mum). Alternatively, i just used my go to Real Techniques Blending brush which leaves a flawless finish and I swear by it.
Firstly, I would recommend that you get colour matched as its the best way to find your perfect colour to match your skin. The last thing you want is to spend a lot on a good product and not have the perfect colour. I must say I was so impressed with how well the colour matched my skin tone!
Another plus is that Its super long lasting. My days would be long and whenever I come home from school it would still be on. However, I do usually have to powder underneath my eyes and also my forehead, as that's where I get oily the most.
This leads me on to my next point, can I just say I have oily skin and this isn't a matte foundation, but im a sucker for dewy skin and I just love the glowy look. If not for you, you can prevent the overly oily look by using a translucent powder to finish off. And of course this foundation is perfect for you girls with dry skin.
The foundation itself is very lightweight, yet it gives a very decent amount of coverage. Impressive! I was so surprised by how much a little product could reduce the appearance of discolouration and redness. Its also very build able if you need more coverage, applying several coats actually leaves the skin looking flawless. I must say this foundation looks exceptional in pictures, you can see how it looks on most of my Instagram selfies (@rameeshaa).
This is my first review and I hope it was helpful, let me know what you thought!
